Running two or more monitors from a laptop depends on three things: how many external displays your laptop supports, how the dock drives them, and the dock's bandwidth. A dock with three video ports can't add displays your laptop doesn't support natively, unless it uses DisplayLink software to work around the limit.
That gives three routes. DisplayLink docks, like the WAVLINK, drive extra displays through a driver and work with many laptops, including many base M-series Macs, at the cost of some processor load. Thunderbolt 4 and 5 docks drive displays natively with more bandwidth, but need a matching laptop port. Standard USB-C docks sit in between.
